Community Description:Experiences with wildlife in urban Australia
A community to share and enjoy the little wild things at the edges of Australian urban spaces. Whether it's a magpie singing on your deck, frogs in your toilet or a bandicoot in the back garden, we'd love to hear about the way the natural world creeps into human spaces.

Photos, videos and stories about wildlife are all welcome. Wild creatures only, no pets or livestock. Please put videos, audio and pictures behind a cut. Be kind and add a warning above the cut for pictures of spiders, snakes and other scary critters. Please use plurals for tags - "birds" "koalas" "spiders" - so its consistent across the community.

This is an inclusive space! Be constructive and supportive. Everyone you meet has experiences worth sharing.

Urban Wildlife Australia acknowledges Australian's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, learn and work. We pay our respects to the resilience and strength of Ancestors and Elders past, present, and emerging and extend that respect to all First Australian peoples. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognize their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We acknowledge that these lands were stolen and sovereignty was never ceded.
